If you are one of those people which believe that the best influences in streetwear are currently coming from the eastern side of the world…. well, we are here to prove that you're right!

When it comes to BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS it is always exciting to see what they will come up with for each season.

Masafumi Watanabe is the mastermind behind the brand, which was created back in 2003.

If you look into BEDWIN’s past collections, you will see a lot of references that go from militaria to skate culture, with a touch of indie-punk.

BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS SS21 collection had it all.

The brand made a whole collection inspired by the 1950s design, proposing graphic T-shirts, hoodies, boiler suits, and a set of illustrated gender-neutral bombers.

The way they manage to put that all together is what makes the brand so unique.

Oh, and of course, their signature Dickies pants…

If you’re feeling some western vibes on their brand, it is because of Watanabe's personal experience and inspiration: the designer lived for a couple of years in London before heading back to Tokyo to work for the streetwear label Tenderloin.

There, he worked with his childhood friend and fellow designer Hideki Hue Kimura, pursuing together their common dream.

In 2003, the duo made the bold move of leaving Tenderloin to start DLX Co. Ltd, the company behind BEDWIN and Kimura’s DELUXE.

A Signature brand was born.

Bedwins ethos comes from travelling around to world cities and collecting culture and style.

As a mixture of pop and indie; formal and street wear that range to three piece ensembles,

Bedwin is based on the simple American tradition, reconstructed in the details from experience: clean with individual style; formal with a twist of casual.

Every season Bedwins worldview is shown through the simple designs inspired by songs and albums that eventually translate to the collection theme.

Since its foundation, the brand has already collaborated with the likes of Adidas, Converse, The North Face and RVCA.

Approaching the western pop culture, they also collabed with G-Eazy for one of his merchandising collections, in honour of Netflix show “Stranger Things”.

Without further adieu, let’s talk about their FW21 collection, which is showing another side of the brand, that recently recruited a new designer and director.

Don’t worry! Their signature work pant Dickies are there and we are loving the green colour version of it.
