Transcribing feelings... That’s the accurate definition of what designer and screen-printer Patrick Sabbadin is doing.

Patrick Sabbadin's typography artworks scream out a whole world of feelings, several words at a time. Behind each poster, there is a message, a concept, that comes from his own experiences.

Back in 2011, he attended Graphic Arts School and explored typography as a medium to raise awareness about emotional struggles. The bold font developed over the years has become his signature, reflecting his growth as a person and professional.

As matter of fact, Patrick was slow to share his work because he felt “a little insecure”.

I felt people would not appreciate my work, so I only created for myself. I was young and I did not have the experience, the money or the confidence I needed”, he explained in a People of Print interview.

But a decade later his work is bold and unafraid: Patrick is now sharing his experience and serigraphy process in small videos on his Instagram profile.

My work is an extension of me; it’s a combination of my feelings and life experiences… without these combinations, my work would not exist.”

Working from Treviso, Italy, today Patrick Sabbadin is a screenprint artist, pre-press operator, and graphic designer in typography.

Recently, he announced his latest series entitled “Paranoid”, the new limited-edition project that we couldn't miss.

The series explores the feeling of inner paranoia, an exploration through personal fears. And all of it is encoded in just a word and its graphic repetition. Hand printing each poster, Patrick has just launched the first seven prints, already available – and almost gone! – on his Instagram.
