The Beijing-based photographer looks for the magic of every moment, his latest work praises the connection with nature and people, but what what often goes unnoticed is the wildness within.

His stage name is a clear nod to Fight Club, a very conscious juxtaposition he used to describe himself. The young photographer says that he appears to be a very calm and quiet person, but in his heart, there is a Tyler Durden, that is, a savage with pure passion.

Throughout his projects, Tyler uses suggestion and optical perception a lot. One of his last series called зЃ«е±± (Volcano), shows images of different subjects in different locations, the objective is to shape a metaphor, which conveys the idea that people are like sleeping volcanoes, we accumulate energy, until one day we explode. Images that call for re-introspection without a doubt.

Manifesting and using his own personal experiences is part of Tyler's creative process and has been from day one, out of the boredom of hanging out with his friends every day, he began to photograph everything they did, a hobby that become his passion.

“Every inspiration comes from my own past experience, like a movie, a song, or random things in life. These experiences create images in my head and I express them through photography”.
Tyler to It's Nice That.

The authenticity permeates Tyler's work is the key to his success, he has the gift of capturing , remarkably intimate shots, so much so, that it seems as if the subjects do not realize that they are being photographed. The series of photos titled з€±ж€Ђ (love/relationship) captures the instant moment of a kiss in such a genuine way, that it never seems to end.

“I want to freeze this moment forever. Emotion is complicated, but love simplifies everything."

Tyler to It's Nice That.

Tyler's latest work is titled WeAreSoClose, this project was created after the pandemic and focuses on breaking out of the routine that was acquired in the months of quarantine, where screens and social networks were our main communication element. WeAreSoClose has been a call to connect by roots, by nature, and by relating face to face.

Tyler manages to project into his images his vision of life, and about himself, hopefully, soon we will be able to see the passion that he embodies in large exhibitions.
