It’s February 1st, which means Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) has arrived like a thunderstorm, and we’ve gotten wind of a few things that will show up Danish runways this week. We’ve spotted a few trends that one can expect to see in the upcoming shows. Let’s begin!
Oversized Silhouettes

The reinterpretation of classic oversized silhouettes with a 2022 touch will be quite present this week. The oversized silhouette has been around for quite some time now, but in the past couple of years it has really become the protagonists of some fantastic shows.
Genderfluid Garments

Fashion knows no limits when it comes to expressing creativity. All over, society is starting to embrace this fact too, and we’re blessed with the widespread presence of genderless fashion. It comes as no surprise that genderless or agender garments will take front stage and centre in a Fashion Week as progressive as Copenhagen’s. We can’t wait to see the extent of this trend in the industry’s future.
Sustainable Design
The city of Copenhagen has been one of the trailblazers when it comes to sustainability efforts, and this fashion week was no exception. This season’s CPHFW participating labels are pushing the limits of sustainability to meet the sustainability agenda, and we couldn’t be happier to see their efforts ripple across the fashion world.
Patterns, Gingham Check And Stripes

Patterns are generally popular in the designs, but it seems like one of this season’s main CPHFW characters will be stripes. Vibrant reinterpretations of this classic pattern are a welcomed sight.

Geometry has been an inspiration for fashion for decades, and checkered prints -particularly gingham check- have made their way to the top of fashion era after era. It seems like we are going to be seeing quite a lot of it this week, albeit with a fresh, unique take. A true reflection of the youth’s influence in fashion.
Colours, Colours Everywhere

Speaking of vibrant interpretations, we can’t overlook the colour palettes. Many designs include at least one bright colour to remind us of nature. We believe that the post-pandemic world influences the way we perceive colours and it makes us want to experience all the colours mother nature is offering to us.
