This isn’t the first time we say this, but just in case you missed it… The Metaverse is here. The Metaverse is no longer a concept that a few believed would happen, it is happening right now, and it is taking over. Now that even corporate giants such as Facebook have made their incursion into this virtual realm, there is no denying that the Metaverse has entered the mainstream. And the outcomes of this happening are beginning to unravel.
The virtual realm of Decentraland seems to be slowly but surely becoming ground zero. First, we found out that it will be hosting the very first Metaverse Fashion Week and now another corporate giant, Samsung, has announced that it has opened a virtual store in Decentraland. The store, called Samsung 837X, is a virtual iteration of the brand’s physical store in New York called Samsung 837. For some reason, this feels like a very Elon Musk-esque thing to do, to slap an X on something and make it futuristic, otherworldly. What is it about the letter X and the future? That’s a debate for another day.

Now back to Samsung 837X, the store aims to be a Metaverse experience that brings excitement, fantasy, and play, back into adult life. Technology offers the opportunity to experience life differently, even enhance it, and Samsung is looking to exploit this in order to generate an extraordinary customer experience. They’ve definitely started 2022 strong, announcing not only their Metaverse store but also the fact that their upcoming smart TV’s will include NFT support.
It really is happening guys, NFTs, the Metaverse, they are merging without day-to-day.

Samsung 837X boasts of three main areas, a Connectivity Theatre, a Sustainability Forest, and a Customization Stage. The Connectivity Theatre will offer up educational content for customers, informing visitors about all of Samsung’s news and advances. The Sustainability Forest is as magical as it sounds. Why? Well, not only can visitors embark on quests among the millions of trees, but the forest also represents Samsung’s partnership with climate solutions platform, Veritree. The tech giant has pledged to plant over two million trees alongside Veritree in the first quarter of 2022.
Last but not least, the Customization Stage where epic metaverse performances will take place.
